History

 

The origins of Argo Card extend to 1991, when the leader in laminations and document binding systems on the Polish market, Argo SA, established a new Plastic Card Division. A small team of young enthusiasts started to make their first inroads in an emerging card market in Poland.

In 1994, Professional Graphic Studio was opened followed by the establishing of the Cards Personalization Division. Subsequently a separate section was started which dealt with the installation of magnetic card-based work time registration, and access control systems.

In December, 1999, a separate company was established under the name of ARGO CARD, Ltd., which was to enable further dynamic development of the company and increase Customer service quality.

The next years confirmed that the direction chosen by investing in the latest technology and the highest quality as well as Customers data security was the correct decision. Cooperation with the largest global concerns, such as BP, Shell, Allianz or Aviva ensured the gaining of international experience and in addition acquire the resources to further develop the equipment range and for purchasing the latest worldwide technology for card production and personalisation.

In 2005, a modern Personalization and Mailing Centre was opened, designed to meet personalized cards and mailing security production requirements in conformance with international standards relating to personal data protection.

In March, 2008, a new plastic card production facility in a building of 4000 m2 was opened. The plant was equipped with the latest technology and ecological solution in the area of printing plate exposure, waterless offset printing and plastic card lamination.

In 2008, Argo Card was honored with one of the most prestigious Polish prizes - "Teraz Polska" Quality Badge for the complex service of CRM systems as well as loyalty program projects.

Argo Card is an active member of international associations, such as International Card Manufacturers Association or Waterless Printing Association and thus contributing to plastic card development globally and Poland.
